Maybe they mean “Christian” as in the colloquial (and offensive, IMHO) synonym for “moral”.
They’re probably just too stupid for it to occur to them that they’re better off using words like “moral”, “family-friendly” or “wholesome”, and then slanting the interview with questions like “Who are your favorite contemporary Christian artists?”
