Just As I Thought

It’s all in the words

It occurs to me that people tend to use the phrase “fixed income” a lot when they mean low income. I mean, back when I had a job I was salaried and got the same check every two weeks. In other words, I was on a fixed income. The major difference is that my fixed income was enough to buy a house and food.
I think that progressives need to learn how to tweak language the way conservatives do. Instead of “minimum wage” they should say (over and over and over and over) “poverty wage.”
What other catch phrases do you think should get an overhaul for the coming progressive resurgence?
