Anyone would think I was living in the middle of some huge garden or aviary — it sounds like there are a billion birds surrounding my house, all whistling and tweeting and singing. It is incredibly noisy and weird, it comes from all directions. Today is obviously a bird holiday, too.
And there is still one bird that seems to live in the birch trees in my backyard, he sounds exactly like a smoke detector signaling a dead battery.
I need some ear plugs.
See how this works? Anyone else would be enthralled by morning birdsong.
I admit they can get loud and overpowering but I love the sounds of birds in the morning. At my last house I allowed birds to nest in the eves and also added bird houses everywhere I could. I also added a fountain so they could have fresh water.
I did not add a feeder.
But the sounds in the morning was fantastic. Chirping and singing from all around the house. Perfect with morning coffee.
