Just As I Thought

Smoooooth

I’m thinking of shaving my head.
I mean, there’s no reason to do it, and no reason not to. I don’t have a job to go to every day, so it doesn’t really matter what I look like. And it might be fun to experience it for a little while. The last time I had anything close to a shaved head was 1990 or so, and that was a close-cropped crew cut in solidarity with my friend Thomas who had just gone into the Army.
What do you think? Should I shave it? And what does one do to maintain a shaved head? And when I get tired of it and let it grow back in, how weird will that be? Will I be wearing a cap a lot?

  • Shave it. If it doesn’t work out, it’ll grow back. I’ve been wanting to do the same thing for the last 3 summers but my wife nixed it from me. I could take a stance but there is one important card that she’ll hold back from me until it grows back. Hum, not worth it for me.

Anyway, you do have to re-shave every few days. From what I hear you can just go over it with a electric razor. Also, try growing a goatee with it- for the first time ever you might just look like a tough guy.

Picture my friend, we want pictures.

  • I agree with the guys. Shave it! And grow a goatee! You’ll look so different and fantastic!
Also, out of curiosity (too much time on my hands) I got on the web and there are all kinds of websites about keeping your dome smooth. There’s even a comment page where men discuss the merits of using a Mach III razor for their heads. There’s even a razor called a HeadBlade out there somewhere. I suggest you do a little research and then you can make your decision.

  • And now for another point of view.

Do NOT shave your head. Are you NUTS?

    Years to grow back, YEARS!
I’m assuming you’ll want to be employed at some point.
Will this help? Will it hurt your chances?
Looking for a boyfriend? Do you think this will make you look sexier?

And itch….Oh my God is it ever going to itch when it starts to grow back in. Unless that is you plan on shaving it all the time!

  • Hahahaa!!!
    Boyfriend? Whatever.
Years to grow back? Can’t be true — I’ve seen to many shaved-head celebrities who have a full head of hair again in 6 months, and my hair grows about 2 inches a month.
Employment? Heck, I’ve seen designers who are not only shaved, but have earrings through their eyebrows, bars through their tongues, and chains hanging from their noses. And Silicon Valley’s most recognized designer, Jonathan Ive, is bald.
Although, the itch part is something to worry about…
