Just As I Thought

Andy Warhol was right

In a universe of hundreds of television channels and millions of programming hours to fill, it is perhaps not surprising that everyone’s gonna be on television soon.

Right now, I’m watching my friend Sara on “Food 911” learning how to put together a Texas Tea Party with Tyler Florence. How weird to see him cooking in a kitchen that I myself have been in many times.

Then later this month (October 20) there’s my friend Jon, appearing on “Small Space Big Style” on HGTV to show off his small but stylish loft in downtown DC. I know that place, too. In fact, I made comments about how small it was when he bought it; and then I moved to California and bought a house that is even smaller.

But as yet, none of the cable channels has beaten a path to my door to teach me how to cook, decorate, or do it myself.
