I guess size matters to the TSA – they’ve certified that the 11” MacBook Air doesn’t have to be removed from bags for inspection, but the 13” model does. Let’s hear it for security theater: evidently terrorists are less likely to use a 11” model for their nefarious schemes. No, they’re gonna pay the extra money for the slightly larger laptop, I guess.
