I hadn’t even noticed, but in the last day the odometer on the blog turned over to a million hits! that’s an average of 143,216 hits per month — a vast increase over last year, when I averaged 85,910 hits per month.
And yet, those Google ads at the bottom have only generated about 40¢ in revenue.

You need to move the Google Ads up higher, towards the most recent postings. You also need to try targeting the content, if Google will let you do that; Yahoo’s Publisher Network lets you choose categories of ads that you want… instead of just relying on the system to choose contextual ads. My partner Justin makes a couple hundred bucks a month with about 1/4 your traffic.
