“Disturbed” isn’t the first adjective I’d use to describe “One Million Moms” — but it’ll do.
Another bizarrely ham-fisted stunt from Mitt. But I get his point: instead of giving loan guarantees to businesses, the government should take them over and fire everyone.
Wow – North Carolina is rapidly becoming the new Tennessee.
North Carolina legislators have decided that the way to make exponential increases in sea level rise go away is to make it against the law to extrapolate exponential; we can only extrapolate along a line predicted by previous sea level rises.
Which, yes, is exactly like saying, do not predict tomorrow’s weather based on radar images of a hurricane swirling offshore, moving west towards us with 60-mph winds and ten inches of rain. Predict the weather based on the last two weeks of fair weather with gentle breezes towards the east.
We’ve got resorts to build and we don’t care what the rest of the ocean does – our sea isn’t going to rise by more than 15.6 inches. Because otherwise it’s against the law.
Pastor Curtis Knapp of New Hope Baptist Church in Seneca, Kansas thinks gays should be put to death:
“They should be put to death. That’s what happened in Israel. That’s why homosexuality wouldn’t have grown in Israel. It tends to limit conversions. It tends to limit people coming out of the closet. — ‘Oh, so you’re saying we should go out and start killing them, no?’ — I’m saying the government should. They won’t but they should. [You say], ‘oh, I can’t believe you you’re horrible. You’re a backwards neanderthal of a person.’ Is that what you’re calling scripture? Is God a neanderthal backwards.. in his morality. Is it his word or not? If it’s his word, he commanded it. It’s his idea, not mine. And I’m not ashamed of it.”
