Well, it’s official: San Jose is now the 10th largest city in the country. I had no idea I was moving to a bigger place! And it certainly doesn’t seem that big. It seems less dense than back home, and it seems to be a lot easier to get around — I’ve found that driving here from one part of the valley to another is far less stressful and time-consuming than traveling a comparable distance back in the DC area.
As for San Jose’s move up in the large cities list, my pal Eric points out that my move here must have been the additional boost they needed!
All this gloating by SJ pols is terribly lame. That’s like saying “We won because the opposing team had terminal flesh eating bacteria. GO US!”
