I looked out my office window today to see this — my first actual orange on my little Valencia orange tree! There has been a lot of fruit on it all along, but this is the first time that any have moved from green to orange, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m dying to go out there and pick it, but I just don’t know when I’m supposed to. How do I know when fruit is ripe and ready for picking? I’ve never had a fruit tree of any kind before, and I feel like I just want to go pick it all off and eat it. Anyone have any advice?
Put a piece of netting under it and when it falls into the netting its ready.
