Do flies and other insects have a sense of space? Do they comprehend “home” or their location within the universe? They’re so small that my daily commute would be the equivalent of a cross-country trip for them.
So, what do they think when they fly into the cabin of an airplane, buzz around the passengers’ heads for a few hours, then disembark in an entirely different city thousands of miles away? Do they even realize what has happened? Do they feel homesick? Do they miss their friends?
