Now the Bush administration is repeating the “time is almost up” message – to Turkey. Evidently, Turkey is not ready to accept a U.S. aid package that the administration is offering in return for permission to base troops there.
Holy crap! Can this administration be a little bit more arrogant and unilateral? What happens if Turkey says no? Do we invade them too?
I have a funny little imaginary vision of George Bush driving down the road with his twin daughters nursing margaritas in the back seat. George turns around every 10 minutes and says, “Y’all keep it down back there or I’m gonna dismotivate this car! Your time is almost up!”
