Just As I Thought

One journey completed

My first professionally produced DVD project went off to replication today! It’s a project for my friend Sara, highlighting her journey as an artist, singer and songwriter, with nearly six hours of footage — music videos, appearances on talk shows, performance footage, nearly 400 photos, short films, and lots of easter eggs! There are a few clips available on my website.
I’m nervous — once the tapes leave my hands, I get worried that I did something wrong. Is all the scripting correct? The video compressed properly? Do all the menus work? I had a nightmare last night that I had put something on the disc that wasn’t finished or was broken… then when I woke up I realized that I hadn’t even PUT that item on the disc. As a matter of fact, there is a lot of stuff that just didn’t fit on the disc, and I’ll have to figure out what to do with it. Maybe some of it will end up on Sara’s website in the future as extra zooks.
Proceeds from the DVD, which will be available directly from Sara in the next few weeks, will benefit the Gerda and Kurt Klein Foundation, which strives to teach tolerance and respect, and work to eliminate hunger. Visit their website at kleinfoundation.org.
