I wonder if there is a plan at the Bush campaign to make points against Kerry anywhere and anyway possible? That would explain this odd, out-of-place quote:
“You’re one of the most charming people anywhere. We were talking right before you got here . . . about the charm deficit with John Kerry. I mean, listening to a John Kerry speech is like going to the proctologist. You may have to, but you don’t want to.”

I expect to hear editorializing about Kerry in such strange places as “American Idol” or “The Weather Channel” now.
