I enjoy Michael Moore’s films usually. I’m not one of his biggest supporters because I think he’s just as wildly left and off base as the wackos on the right are wild and off base. I take his claims with a grain of salt and try to seek out the bits of truth that inform his films. But I do enjoy the symmetry of it all since there are so few ferocious left wing nutcases about these days. I like the sardonic humor he uses to tell his stories, so I can’t wait to see what he’s come up with in “Fahrenheit 9/11” — and now it looks like we’ll be able to see it soon. The BBC reports:
A US distributor has been found for Fahrenheit 9/11, film-maker Michael Moore’s Cannes award-winning polemic against George W Bush’s presidency.
A deal brokered by movie moguls Dick and Harvey Weinstein means the film will hit American cinemas on 25 June.
