We’ve had Fahrenheit 9/11, a documentary on Clinton, and now a documentary on Rupert Murdoch’s “war on journalism” is out there for your edification. The same filmmaker has also produced films about the 2000 Florida election, the erosion of civil liberties, and the dubious reasons for the war in Iraq.
Looks like independent film has reached the same level as the blog, becoming a way to get across a point of view cheaply.
What’s interesting, ultimately, is that the “power of press” never did make it to the people, but was bypassed entirely by the power of the video camera and computer.
