I guess I’m just too cheap to win auctions. It’s very rare for me to bid on something at eBay, but this morning I couldn’t resist a letter:
It’s the letter “a” from the Disneyland marquee. I bid it up to $960, but still someone outbid me. And frankly, that’s as high as I’m gonna go for a lower case letter, you know? At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that someone is gonna pay more for it than if I had come along.
Dammit.
The “y” is also for sale, but it’s in pretty rough shape. There’s also an “s” (get all three and spell “say”).
Hmm… now that I look deeper, it seems that all the letters are there — they must have completely replaced that sign. Maybe I’ll bid on an “n” next!
Too bad it wasn’t called Gisneyland, so you could’ve been the proud owner of a capital G.
Yeah, maybe I’ll have to just get my own letters fabricated, and I can say that they are from the fictitious entrance marquee of g-world. That would be SWEET.
