I just don’t have the drive — nor the money — to win auctions on eBay.
Another thing that I bid on this morning, a porthole from the now closed Submarine Voyage ride at Disney World, has been snatched out from under me.
You know, it would have been kind of neat to have a porthole from this ride, although I’m not paying more than $500 for it. And that would have to be on credit, anyway. If it had been from Disneyland, which to me is the historic park, I would have bid a bit more. But Disney World? The loud, huge monstrosity in the swamp filled with really fat German tourists wearing shorts that leave too little to the imagination?
Nah. I’ll pass.
Some people just have too much disposable income, you know?
Update: good thing I didn’t win. Someone just emailed me to let me know that the portholes in question are sold at EPCOT for $125, and you can order them over the phone.
