Since I lived in the DC area all my life, I became innured to the occassional encounter with the rich and famous — at least, politically speaking. Among the many brushes with fame during the years were Jimmy Carter at the Air & Space Museum and Sonny Bono at Linens ‘N Things.
But my most recent encounter really points out the difference between DC and San Jose — not to mention my geekiness. It was Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple Computer, at Best Buy. Looking at digital cameras.
You can bet that the “Other Steve” wouldn’t be found at Best Buy with the proletariat.
