I don’t know if it has religious significance, although I don’t think anyone would mistake her for the holy, chaste, and righteous version that so many people here worship; but Madonna is coming to San Jose. Of all places.
Like traffic around the Pavilion isn’t bad enough?
Madonna will play HP Pavilion in San Jose on May 30 as part of her “Confessions Tour,” tour promoters announced today.
The San Jose date is the third stop on the tour, which begins May 21 in Los Angeles. Other stops on the tour will include Boston, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Miami, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, and Tokyo.
Wouldn’t you have expected San Francisco instead of San Jose?
Some of her tour venues really sound cheesy and “mid-level”, like San Jose’s HP Pavilion. There’s Fresno’s Save Mart Center, the Hartford Civic Center, and Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall.
Sounds like places that Huey Lewis and the News should be playing, no?
$350 a ticket…I’ll pass
I’d give up my gig at Double T’s in August to see her play there. http://www.soundprooftheband.com
Heh, I saw the list of venues this morning and thought the same thing. And all the corporate names make it a bit comical. By the way, I don’t think San Francisco has an indoor venue of comparable size to the HP Pavilion. Well, maybe the Cow Palace. Now there’s a name.
