Haven’t had the emotional cojones to write about this week’s surprise; but rest assured that I am still here, sitting at home recuperating, and contending with the very odd situation of having my parents here, both in their 60s, not letting me lift anything or bend or exert myself. Which makes three of us invalids here in the house.

My doctor told me to get out and go for a walk as soon as I could. Yes, you don’t want to lift anything until your angioplasty incision site has had a chance to heal (although you probably got one of those handy-dandy collagen plugs which they didn’t have when I had mine… had to sleep with a sandbag on my crotch for 48 hours). Do what your doc says, but don’t let people treat you like an invalid… you’ll just get used to it, and then have a rude awakening when somebody says “yeah, yeah, whatever… off your ass, stent boy!”

Do whatever your Dr tells you to do. If they say rest , then rest. If they say walk around then walk around. You’re paying thousands and thousands of dollars for sound medical advise. Follow it!
Best of wishes to you for a speedy recovery.
