The Associated Press, September 13, 2010. In other words, “We’re not gonna allow tax cuts for the middle class unless the very wealthy get them too.” Was there ever a clearer example of who the Republicans are?

Republicans said they had the votes to block legislation to extend the middle-class tax relief if Democrats follow through on their plan to deny tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans.
