WTF? Really, NBC? JC Penney inflated prices in order to have sales? Um, this is NOT NEWS and you can stop being so SHOCKED by it.
In fact, when Ron Johnson took over, he came right out and said what everyone knows: all retailers inflate prices, then lower them for “sales.” That’s why he got rid of sales and pushed all prices down to a reasonable level, every day. But turns out that these “bargain shoppers” you are warning are the ones who HATED that! They wanted sales! They wanted misleasing pricing! They wanted it so bad that they deserted the every day low prices at JCP and forced out the man who was honestly trying to save them money.
So please, give me a very big break with your ridiculous “journalism.”
