Just As I Thought

Cut off

My internet isolation couldn’t have come at a worse time — I’m leaving tomorrow for Chicago for a week, just finished up (mostly) producing a DVD for my pal Sara, and still have lots of last minute stuff to do for our national social studies teacher’s conference next week. And no one can get through to my mail.
I even miss the spam.
It’s so very strange how connected I am yet still isolated — there must be a dozen different ways to reach me, and still it’s rare when someone does. As of today, I have: 6 different email addresses (and I can make more!); two mobile phones (with internet access, SMS, and MMS); in a couple of weeks my car will have a bluetooth phone connection; 4 phone numbers; 2 fax machines; iChat; gay.com chat; semaphore; and morse code.
The last e-mail I received was on the 7th, and it’s driving me batty hearing that “no new mail” sound every time I check.
Of course, since you probably can’t see this posting, it’s pointless to encourage you to e-mail me, isn’t it?
