This guy made his way across my front yard a few moments ago, arranged himself in geometric patterns across the sidewalk, then down the driveway and across the street. I’ve never seen such a big snake in a yard before… anyone recognize what kind of snake this is?
By the way, first pics with the iPhone. Nice! So much better than the tiny, blurry pics from my old phone. (Of course, after compressing them heavily for the web, they’re not all that great.)

I think you may have some type of Gopher snake, but that just a guess based upon only ’bout 5 minutes of Googling.
