When you are broadcasting to possibly millions of people, wouldn’t you take a bit more care in what you are doing?
Tonight I tuned in to watch The Simpsons. When the show started, someone hit a wrong button and we were treated to the image of the tape fast forwarding. The screen went blank, then the show started again.
But it was the same episode that had aired an hour earlier! After the first commercial break, the station resumed broadcasting the correct episode.
I wonder if anyone got confused about the storyline?
Oh, and when they finally managed to get the network feed working, the picture was all but obliterated by a huge, animated logo for “Joe Millionaire” featuring dozens of women chasing Joe across the screen. Dammit, it would have been better if they had reduced the picture into a box and THEN run the damned promo.
The time is rapidly approaching when I will stop watching television and just wait for new programs to come out on DVD. The networks have made the viewing experience so incredibly annoying that it’s not worth it.
Speaking of intrusive ads, I’ve received FIVE spam e-mails on my mobile phone in the last few weeks, and I can’t figure out where they got the e-mail address. I don’t even know what it is!
