While watching President Bush’s address just now on CNN, the following strange text appeared for a few seconds under the President’s image:
Does this work?
Didn’t think so.
OK, so it was probably a Chyron operator messing around, but it certainly fit with what I was seeing on the screen.

I always find those CNN captions kind of amusing even when they’re correct. Especially the way they constantly put up excerpts of what the speaker said, like, just *two* seconds ago. I don’t know why I find that funny. (Maybe I’ve seen more SNL spoofs than actual CNN, that’s why.)
