Just As I Thought

It happens to every guy once in a while

Is this an example of peaking too early? From Voice of America:

A new opinion poll says either of the two main Democratic presidential candidates would beat President Bush by at least 10 points if the election were held today.

The poll, published Wednesday by CNN and the USA Today newspaper, shows Democratic front-runner John Kerry beating Mr. Bush by 55 to 43 percent.

OK, well… this is great news, but a bit early. Who wants to bet that the administration has something up it’s sleeve for this fall? They’ll start the blitz with a big New York nominating convention built around the anniversary of September 11. And I’ve learned to not be surprised by anything they come up with — it’s not that much of a leap to believe that they will suddenly announce the capture of Osama bin Laden mere days before the election.
Yep, the poll is good news. But you can peak too early. Just ask Howard Dean.
