There’s an article in the Post today titled “Bush Gave No Sign of Worry in August 2001.” They’re referring to his demeanor after the aforementioned memo, as reporters go back to see if they detected any activity on terrorism — remember that the White House is saying they were on “battle stations” at that time.
I’d submit that this was a non-story — I’ve never seen Bush appear to worry about anything. Heck, remember last year when he climbed into a flight suit and declared the war over? All this time and all those casualties later, he still doesn’t look worried.
But he does look 10 years older, though.
He reminds me of Alfred E. Neuman. Seriously. In almost every way.
