It’s the highest price ever for a barrel of oil. Let’s set aside, for the moment, any speculation on whether our duo of oil executives in the White House have any culpability in this, and instead focus on the future.
Oil reserves do not increase. There is a finite amount of oil, and prices will continue to rise as it becomes more and more difficult to get to it.
So, what should be our plan for the future? Buy more gas-guzzling SUVs, Hummers, and semis for the small-penised man? Or should we begin to use what oil is left to create an infrastructure for alternative forms of energy, before it’s too late?
