You know, George W. Bush likes to say that we are spreading freedom around the globe. He really seems to believe this, and without laughing out loud.
His method of spreading freedom is to send the military. To kill thousands of civilians and then create an environment where terrorists can surge in and wreak havoc, killing thousands more.
“We’re going to bomb you into a democratic country, dammit.”
It sounds very fundamentalist, doesn’t it? Like a preacher who’s going to beat the fear of God into someone; like a redneck who is going to tie you to a fence and beat you until you’re no longer gay… or you’re dead.
