I just saw a promo for an upcoming episode of Law & Order, an episode based on the ferry crash in New York. They showed a scene with people standing on a dock, who were all jerked off their feet — ostensibly when the ferry hit.
The weird thing is that they all had white strings attached to them, obviously these were to jerk them back on cue.
I can only assume that they must have painted out the strings for the broadcast show, but the promo was made using raw footage that hadn’t been through post-production.
An inadvertant behind-the-scenes moment, eh?
