Now, this is either really sneaky or really stupid: Drugstores such as Long’s and Walgreens print their actual wholesale costs right onto item shelf labels, in a secret code. BoingBoing points us to a genius who cracked the code, letting us all in on how much the store actually makes on every sale.
Why in the world would a store post their costs on shelves, in code or not? I can’t figure this out. I guess that’s why I don’t work in retail.
