I am finally fed up with WTOP radio here in DC. The “all news” station has teased me for the last time.
Driving in to work this morning, the tease was something like this: “We’re getting reports that a famous celebrity has died, it’s someone you know from a very popular television show, we’ll tell you who it is after this.”
Well, I hate being teased, and this is just once too many from a supposed “news” source. So, goodbye WTOP. You’ll have one less listener in the new year.
By the way, they were using the death of Jerry Orbach, a widely respected and admired television, film, and stage star, to coerce people into listening to more commercials.
That’s what he gets for putting Baby in the corner. Ok, I really liked Jerry but someone had to be the first to make the joke.
