Well, we knew it was coming — the last nail in WUSA-TV’s coffin.
WUSA, our channel 9, has been imploding slowly but surely for years, letting their top news talent go one by one, until they recently let their dean of anchors, Gordon Peterson, move over with the rest of his channel 9 colleagues to WJLA, channel 7. WUSA now has a news team made up of pretty two dimensional people who wouldn’t know news if Edward R. Murrow rose from the grave and put it on a teleprompter.
Anyway, courtesy of DCRTV today provides us with a glimpse of WUSA’s future plans: a million dollar news set that looks like the engineering deck of the Enterprise.
Soon to be heard from Broadcast House up on Wisconsin Avenue: “I canna hold her, Captain! She’s breaking up!”
