I might have to get myself a webcam dedicated to recording what happens on the sidewalk in front of my house. You see, for months now, someone has been allowing their dog to, well, poop right on the sidewalk, right in front of my steps. This week, it’s been multiple times, and just now when I was walking Diego (paper in hand to scoop it up, of course), I was disgusted to find a brand new steaming pile in front of me when I opened the door.
I swear, some kind of sting operation needs to be mounted until we find out who is doing this — and why. I mean, are people so lazy that they will let their dog crap all over the sidewalks in their own neighborhood without a thought to how it affects their neighbors, their kids… and their property values?
I’ll be looking out my windows, lying in wait for the next deposit in front of my house.
Growing up in the wilds of Alaska we never scooped after the dogs. We lived way out in the sticks and the dogs roamed freely. Following behind to scoop up was unknown to me.
I moved to Seattle and came to understand there were new rules in dealing with dog pies. It took me all of one day to figure it out.
And by the way I hate, HATE, following behind to scoop up. My solution was to litterbox train my dog. But if I take her out, I scoop. Its not that hard to figure out.
