Karl Rove’s brilliant on-message strategizing aside, one of the major blunders that Republicans always make is not knowing when to shut up. I’ve touched on this a few times below, from Dubya’s mom to Dubya’s handlers; but this new one bears ridiculing. From Congressman Baker of Baton Rouge:
We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn’t do it, but God did.
Oh, boy.
I guess these people have been pre-programmed to always have something to say when reporters or cameras are around. If only they had half a brain as well.
