It was 16 years ago today that the Loma Prieta earthquake struck the Bay Area. And it was just today that a regional coalition of governments finally announced the beginning process of creating a plan for the next disaster.
That’s not very reassuring. 16 years? Really? Can you imagine what could have been accomplished in 16 years?
