Just As I Thought

Time for a second opinion

I think I spoke too soon when I decided that my hangover a few days ago was from too much sugar.
Because it continued the next day, and again today. Sharp headaches combined with sharp pains in my neck, although I’m not sure the two are related. I’ve just been assuming that I haven’t been sleeping right and my neck is sore, even though at times it feels like my neck is broken.
Gah, the body of a guy who is nearing 40. Should it be like this? Or am I just falling apart?
I feel like I have a hangover, but that’s pretty much ridiculous since I didn’t ingest anything that would cause that. Could it be the change in weather? Usually a drastic change in pressure induces a headache, but that wouldn’t explain yesterday and today, two days identical in weather (sunny and clear, finally).
For the first time in about a year, I am thinking of using the $200/month Kaiser membership I’ve been paying for.

Heh, I said much the same thing to Jeff the other night (though I’m already over 40), as the past two weeks I’ve been experiencing chronic pain and numbness in my left hip and thigh. I suspect it’s tied to my less than ergonomically sound office space, since it worsens considerably during the day. But lately it’s been following me home and interfering with my ability to sit at the home PC and even to get to sleep. So I started to wonder if this and other such aches and pains I feel on a more and more regular basis are just something I’ll have to live with the rest of my life as part of the natural aging process.

    How depressing, eh?

  • I’ll spare you the if you think 40 is bad wait till you hit 50 talk and go right to the problem.

    Classic for unresolved stress.

Are you stressing about something? Perhaps you’re stressing and are not aware of it. By the way working out will only make it worse (tight muscles don’t like to work out)

Unless of course your workout is a stress reliever for you. But if that’s the case you need to know the cause of the stress before the workout.

Dr Tim says, Drink two Margaritas do some light stretching exercises and blog me in the morning.
