The very best way to make the most money for the artist is to buy a CD directly from him/her. The next best thing is to buy a CD in a store; the worst in terms of money is iTunes, which only nets a couple of cents per song. That said, iTunes is a great way to snag new listeners, who might not buy a CD from an artist they’ve never heard.
