The news from Iraq this morning is that authorities have captured Hamed Jumaa Farid al-Saeedi. Iraq’s national security adviser says that the was the No. 2 man in al-Qaida in Iraq.
Doesn’t it seem to you that every time an al-Qaida operative is captured or killed, he was the No. 2 guy? Perhaps al-Qaida has stumbled upon a brilliant new human resources strategy that boosts morale: everyone in al-Qaida is the number two guy.
