The White House Press Room has been revamped, and brought up to date to serve as a premiere outlet for White House propaganda of all stripes. Gone is the plain blue curtain, in its place is, to put it bluntly, a set.
This looks like something I would have designed for the keynote speech at a convention; especially the huge video screen behind the podium which will shortly be covered with ridiculous slogans like “Securing the American Dream” or whatever message the White House decides to pound that day.
This administration, far more than any other, understands and expertly plays on the concept of the message, and this new briefing room is a masterful expression of that process.
I forget where I read this, but someone in the press said that it looked like Caesar’s Palace.
