I only have a week to rest up for the next big event — in one week I’ll be winging it to DC for the fourth annual DC Shorts Film Festival, for which I produce the various video graphics and do all the technical work for projection. (You’ve bought your tickets, right?)
Which means no real rest this week: I have to fill in a few gaps in the DC Shorts lineup which is difficult because I’ve already shipped one of the pre-programmed Macs to DC and the second one is here — I’ll have to sync them when I arrive. I also have to complete work on the indie film I’ve been doing, and finish a few things for my friend Sara.
I spent the day yesterday redoing the paint and wallpaper on her website in honor of her big gig next week: the Austin City Limits Festival, where she is returning to the big stage after years of playing at the kids’ venue. It’s a great acknowledgment of her return to adult music and I’m so disappointed that ACL happens the same weekend as DC Shorts ’cause I would love to be there. So, if you are in Austin, make sure you buy tickets to see Sara; if you’re in DC buy tickets to see me.
And then in two weeks, I’ll be asleep. For a very long time.
