This page for the Chevy Volt contains the usual – a few pictures, a lot of text. But visiting it makes my hard disk thrash and my fans ramp up. Why? ‘Cos it is not just a few pics and some text. It’s a HUGE FREAKIN’ FLASH FILE. And when I say huge, I mean, it is a Flash file that is 1,039 pixels wide by a ridiculous 4,269 pixels high.  And what gets me most steamed is that the entire thing could have been done quickly, easily, and simply in regular HTML. There’s nothing interactive, animated, or otherwise that requires Flash. NOT ONE DAMNED THING.  INSANE. But don’t take my word for it. Go look. Assuming you’re on a big honkin’ computer that can take it.
