Here’s my caller ID log from the last two weeks. Only two calls have been from legitimate people; all the rest have been telemarketers and scams. This, despite the fact that I’m listed on the federal “do not call” list. Shows you how truly useful that is. Funny, if a candidate really wanted to get elected he or she would rail against phone scams and vow to protect us all from telemarketers. There would be a landslide in their favor… but of course, the reprehensible scammy jerkwads who run these operations would put all their money into defeating him, so…

Feel free, as always, to call these jerks and harass them, too. Frankly, it makes me wonder why I bother having a landline — although my cellphone rings constantly with scams as well. Maybe the time has come to eliminate phones altogether?
