Kindle Math

SARAH ROTMAN EPPS, Forrester Research Tech Analyst: You could buy four Kindle Fires for the price of one souped-up iPad.

And that one iPad would still have:

  • 32gb more RAM than all four of those Kindles put together
  • 100% more 3G capability
  • About twice as much screen space
  • Twice as many cameras
  • 100% more microphones
  • Hundreds of thousands of apps
  • etc…

But what I find interesting is that the Kindle Fire is clearly designed to consume content (Amazon’s content, of course), not create it. Which is exactly what the naysayers said about the iPad.
