Who would have guessed?
Bush filed his papers for candidacy today. If that isn’t horrifying enough, it seems that he will locate his headquarters in Northern Virginia – likely here in Arlington, according to the Post.
Here’s one of those transparently ridiculous quotes that his administration likes to make:
“The president is focused on the business at hand, including growing the economy and pursuing the war on terror, but he understands these steps must be taken from a legal point of view,” White House communications director Dan Bartlett said. “The whole process and focus on politics is not on the president’s mind.”
Please. That’s the only thing on the President’s mind, such as it is.
