It’s TV Turn Off Week. I successfully avoided TV yesterday, and judging from the enormous amount of stuff I have to do this week, I think I’ll manage to complete the week relatively TV-free… except that there’s a new West Wing on Wednesday. Well, I’ll be busy anyway, so TiVo can do it’s thing.
It’s interesting that it’s easier than ever to turn off the TV, because TV itself has become such a turn off.
Meanwhile, I’m encouraged to see that media conglomerates are getting together to fight the FCC’s sudden “indecency” crackdown. Folks, if you don’t like what’s on, turn it off. Don’t expect the government to make your decisions for you.
