Two little amusing snippets:
We’re under a severe thunderstorm warning here, and I’m watching WJLA’s DTV subchannel, which broadcasts a live radar feed.
As I watched the hyponotic sweep of the radar go by, something in the corner jumped up — a notice that the computer’s Live Update system has updated their virus protection.
I present Number 2 here (no pun intended) just as a fun little partisan exercise in hypocrisy and silliness, signifying nothing:
U.S. PRESIDENT George W. Bush rode across Ohio yesterday in a bus emblazoned, “Yes, America can.” It turns out the bus was made in Canada.
The front of the bus bore another label: Prevost Car, jointly owned by the Swedish Volvo Bus Corp. and Britain’s Henly’s Group PLC.
Prevost’s manufacturing facility is in St. Claire, Que.
Foreign-made vehicles are a touchy topic in the job-strapped industrial Midwest — states like Michigan and Ohio.
A Bush campaign spokesman said many of the components are American-made.
