I had no idea how much I value peace and quiet, as well as being alone. Maybe it’s just because I’m used to it.
Regardless, I’m starting to relax now that all my Christmas visitors are gone and I have my home to myself. I’ll be able to sleep in my own bed tonight after camping out on my office futon; I’ll be able to eat dinner when I want to; I won’t have to turn the closed captions on because I can’t hear the TV due to other people talking.
You know, I am not one of those Felix Ungar types that has a spotless house, nor am I anal retentive about where things go. I’m frankly a bit of a mess when it comes to keeping a clean house. Yet, I found every little thing annoying while they were here: where they put dishes, how they left the toilet seat up…
